- K-LOVE Fan Awards
As sure as the sun rises in the east and sets in the west, the K-LOVE Fan Awards will be here before you know it. There is so much work that goes into planning this major event, but we also know that some planning can be involved for those hoping to attend the biggest weekend in Christian entertainment.
We know that the K-LOVE Fan Awards is an amazing event for you and your family, but just in case you need a little push before you click “Register Now,” we’ve put together a few of the top reasons why you and everyone you know should attend the K-LOVE Fan Awards.
All of Your Favorite Christian Artists are at the K-LOVE Fan Awards
Let’s start with the obvious. This is a weekend that highlights the best in Christian entertainment, so of course we’ll have the biggest names in attendance. At the 2016 K-LOVE Fan Awards alone, Switchfoot, Lauren Daigle, Crowder, Chris Tomlin, TobyMac, Needtobreathe, Danny Gokey, and many others graced the stage with powerful performances.
This doesn’t even take into account the dozen or more Christian artists that were able to play at the Kick-Off Concert and Songwriters Showcase. You may even find a few bands whose work you were previously unfamiliar with, but you now love.
The K-LOVE Fan Awards is a celebration of Christian music, but that’s not the only kind of entertainment we know you love. You’ll also see famous Christian athletes, authors, filmmakers, and more.
What separates this amazing weekend from other concerts and conferences is that we bring everything together with the fans in mind. Your interactions with many of your favorite Christian bands and singers isn’t limited to seeing them on stage, but there are several opportunities to meet them in person. In the Fan Zone, we’ll have autograph sessions, special exhibits, and meet and greets where you’ll have the chance to rub shoulders with the great musicians who are piped through your radio on your Monday morning commute.
Making a personal connection with a band or singer whose album you know by heart is something that will bless both you and them. Sometimes those of us who aren’t major recording artists forget that the people making our favorite music are regular folks too. That perspective might just make you appreciate the music more.
Between meeting your favorite artists, finding new ones to follow, and seeing some fantastic performances, the K-LOVE Fan Awards will meet all of your musical needs.
See the Heart of Christian Music
We know that there should be some level of difference between a secular awards show like the Grammys and an event that honors entertainers from a genre with “Christ” in the title. There is, of course, nothing wrong with high production values and great music, but we should always make sure that Christ is being honored through whatever we are doing. It doesn’t matter if you are a Christian singer, a deacon with three kids, or a brand-new believer.
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” Colossians 3:23
Although the K-LOVE Fan Awards are designed to give Christian music fans a voice, as well as the ability to see the top artists live, we can never forget that God is the one who should get all of the glory. Your favorite band may walk away with a gold award, but the real honor belongs to God.
There is nothing wrong with the glitz and glamor of an amazing weekend with top Christian artists, but we hope that is not all that you get out of the weekend. That’s why we have partnered with some great organizations in the past to let you know about some of the cool stuff that God is doing in the world today.
For starters, we’ve been fortunate enough to have held a 5k over the last few years benefitting the Hands and Feet Project. This organization, started by Christian musicians, seeks to help orphans and the poor in Haiti. Another wonderful group that has made an appearance at the K-LOVE Fan Awards is Museum of the Bible. Opening soon in Washington, DC, this is a state of the art facility that will feature exhibits and artifacts that tell the story of the Bible and back up its claims. This will soon be a major destination for Christians visiting the area. Our friends from the organization brought an exhibit to the 2016 awards weekend that left a great impression on attendees.
On top of our partnerships, the K-LOVE Fan Awards Weekend is a time for believers from all over the globe to come together and celebrate the Lord and the music that proclaims his name. While we have a large number of great performances every year, there are special times where God’s presence can really be felt in the Grand Ole Opry House. Take, for instance, this speech from Louie Giglio at last year’s event.
The K-LOVE Fan Awards is an awesome time where fans and artists come together, great music is shared, and there’s a lot of fun, but there is a heart behind Christian music that cannot be overlooked. We trust that the weekend will be memorable for you and your family in a number of ways.
Your Family Could Use a Great, Wholesome Vacation
You’ve been to the beach a hundred times. Mountain cabins eventually get boring. Hawaii is at least a 7-hour flight. Traveling abroad takes a ton of planning. How about something simpler?
We’re joking in the criticism above, of course, but the K-LOVE Fan Awards might just be the perfect family vacation. First of all, Nashville is an amazing town. Between the great music, history, and food, you could make a trip right there.
Did you know that the K-LOVE Fan Awards Weekend takes place at the biggest hotel east of Las Vegas? The Gaylord Opryland Resort is a one-of-a-kind place that has everything you might need. If you do want to get out and explore Nashville, downtown is only about 15 minutes away.
Back to the actual awards weekend, the events provide you with a well-planned timeline that will keep you busy, but not too busy. Aside from concerts and an awards show, there are special events peppered throughout the day that will appeal to each member of your group. Leave the scheduling to us and take part in whatever activities you want. We’d love for you to take in the whole weekend, but no one will judge you for that afternoon nap.
It’s not often that you can go on vacation and stay in a wholesome, encouraging environment quite like the the K-LOVE Fan Awards. You’ll meet many of your favorite K-LOVE artists and personalities, but you could also make new friends who are coming to the event from the other side of the country.
We could keep going on all day about the different ways your family can benefit from the K-LOVE Fan Awards Weekend, but we hope that these three reasons alone have at least piqued your interest.
